December 18, 2014 at 8 PM ET: Helen Weng: The Science of Compassion. It turns out that being compassionate is skill that can be learned, and developed! Helen Weng is a psychotherapist who has implemented mindfulness and compassion meditation exercises with groups of people with anxiety, borderline personality disorder traits, and patients who have an HIV or cancer diagnosis. She has also used meditation exercises with individual psychotherapy patients with varying symptoms such as depression and anxiety.
